This Privacy Policy explains how the Totesmagoets iOS app (“the App”) by App Boi LLC (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information.

• Your app data is stored on your device and synced to our cloud backend to provide core features.

Information we collect

Account information
• What: email address, password (stored as a one-way hash), and optional profile details you provide (e.g., display name).
• Purpose: create and secure your account, sign-in, communicate about the service.
• Source: you provide this during sign-up/sign-in.
App data (synced)
• What: containers, items, quantities, descriptions, and location details you add; timestamps related to creation/updates.
• Storage: saved locally on your device and synced to our backend on [provider, e.g., AWS/Supabase/GCP] in [region/country].
• Purpose: enable core functionality (backup/restore, multi-device access, reliability).
Technical and security logs (minimal)
• What: IP address, device/app identifiers, request and error logs, and timing information generated by our systems.

What we do not collect
• We do not collect advertising identifiers and we do not run third-party ads in the App.
• We do not sell or rent personal information.

How we use information
• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and required cloud features.
• Authenticate you and protect your account.
• Provide customer support and communicate about the service.
• Monitor, prevent, and address technical issues or misuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

Sharing
• Service providers: we use trusted vendors to host and process data for us (e.g., cloud hosting, email/help desk). They act under our instructions and are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
• Legal: we may disclose information to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
• No selling: we do not sell personal data.

Data retention
• Account and synced app data: retained while your account remains active. We delete or anonymize it when you request deletion or after account closure, subject to limited legal/business record needs.
• Support emails and operational logs: retained only as long as necessary for support, operations, security, and legal requirements.

Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
